Eleanor Friedberger
Eleanor Friedberger formed The Fiery Furnaces with her brother Matthew in New York City in 2000. Together they recorded nine albums and toured extensively throughout North America, Europe and Australia. Since 2011 Friedberger has released four critically acclaimed solo albums; select performances include the Greek National Opera House, The Barbican Centre in collaboration with the Warhol Museum, NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, Doug Aitkin's film Station to Station and most recently the feature length film Slow Machine, which made its North American premiere at the New York Film Festival. Iggy Pop has described her as "wonderful and extremely chic, elusive and clever".
